Originally built in 1974 as a high-rise office tower, Century Plaza was later acquired in 2005 by Equus Development to be converted to condominiums. Caught up in the real estate depression, Equus Development defaulted on the $39.9 million loan and lost the property. Macdonald Development (MDC) out of Canada snagged this property for $16 million, dropped the prices and have been successfully selling these condos.It wasn't until then, early 2010, that the name was changed from Century Plaza to One Lexington.
